The Peace and Justice Center of Sonoma County is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming militarism to lasting peace, strengthening civil and political rights, educating for freedom and dignity, promoting earth stewardship and ecological justice, supporting economic and political democracy, and advocating universal health care.
Our Center provides an inviting space where people working for peace and justice meet, network and mobilize.
We publish the bi-monthly Peace Press mailing a copy to every member of the Center and distributing over 3000 copies county wide. Every issue is full of the latest news and thinking about Peace and Justice struggles world wide. It is also stuffed with leaflets and a calender highlighting upcoming local events.
The Center provides crucial infrastructure for the Peace and Justice movement in Sonoma County. We sponsor and co-sponsor dozens of events, we fiscally sponsor many established and emerging groups, we often provide the mundane clerical support needed to pull event permits and insurance.
