DONATIONS & MEMBERSHIP
The Sonoma County Center for Peace and Justice has a budget of $70,000 annually which is funded largely by the donations of members and friends, enhanced by special events such as our annual Peace Makers Dinner and Award Ceremony. Forums featuring challenging speakers may also add to the income, as well as providing valuable information to the community. No one is ever turned away from the Center or our events due to lack of funds.
The work of the Center is supported by volunteer staff, donations, fundraising and member organizations' fees. We receive no corporate or government support. A Finance Committee has responsibility for the accounting, and its books are open to inspection by members. The entire Board approves the annual budget, controls the expenditures and reviews the monthly financial statements.
